Appalachian Creative Front

is an Asheville based, independent arts cooperative;

dedicated to supporting regional arts and industry, as we recover from hurricane devastation.

An association of independent creators and organizers, including members from:
Static Age Records, DIYabled, Asheville FM, Dark Moon Botanicals, Kellis Arts, and a growing community of artists, musicians, performers, craftspeople, technicians, organizers, curators, proprietors, volunteers and patrons.

The hurricane rocked our area, and now it’s our turn. We want to take initiative to help shape the rebuilding of our extended mountain neighborhood, according to the needs of our community.

A strong community means strong artistic presence. ACF believes that our creativity and industry are vital to the broad notoriety of this treasured mountain home. Supporting the labors and talents, while opening our gifts to wider appreciation and support, is the mission we are tasked with.

Strategies

Β·      Build & strengthen relationships with the art community, organizations, educators, patrons, and our abundant network of support among independent arts & industries.

Β·      Extend our network to our friends in surrounding areas, finding mutual opportunities with cities in neighboring regions, forming new creative alliances along the way.

Β·      Organize multimedia group shows in galleries, breweries, warehouses, malls, lots, canopies, and empty storefronts.

Β·      Host benefit art auctions, livestreamed for online bidding, to open our treasures to friends around the world.

Β·      Seek out novel potentials for art fairs & festivals in neighboring cities, to showcase our talents and collaborate with theirs.

Β·      Incorporate teaching opportunities, workshops, cross-discipline collaboration, and civic service.

Β·      Find more permanent real-estate to continue our collaborative endeavors, and to serve the endeavors of the community.
